"Our team is thrilled to be working with Carrie. Her process is smooth and efficient and we always know exactly where our projects stand, which is a must for anyone running a business! Carrie has gone above and beyond to understand our business, the goals for our content, and the ways we like to partner with clients. She’s captured the essence of who we are and it shows in every tiny detail. If you’re looking for someone who will care about your content as much as you do, Carrie should be your next call!"

The Process

I treat every item of content I produce as if it is the most important I’ve ever completed--from a 500-word blog post to the contents of an entire website. I give every client the white glove treatment; if there was such a thing as a luxury writing experience, this would be it!

Here’s how it works:

We Get Together: We’ll schedule an initial meeting so I can get to know you better. If feasible, I’ll visit your place of business to observe the small details that make up your company, culture, and client base.

You Provide Information: I’ll ask you for any resources that will give me insight into who you are, what you do, and how you do it.

I Get to Work: You’ll know when I’ve begun writing, as you’ll likely receive text messages from me to ask questions, confirm details, and gain context.

I Deliver the Draft: I’ve taken great care to make sure your content will be informative and entertaining, positioning you as a subject matter expert. I’ll send the first draft to you and await your comments.

We Make the Piece Pitch Perfect: While I’m proud to say that the majority of my clients ask for few to no edits, I’m happy to adjust the piece based upon your needs or suggestions. Together, we finalize written content that sings.

"Carrie is amazing to partner with for content needs. I'm great at insurance, not writing. But Carrie is a superior wordsmith. She has a very unique way of taking our ideas and knowledge and making them relatable to our clients and prospects. She is easy to work with, she is organized, and never misses a deadline. She has been so accommodating when we've had a last minute need for help on a project. I could not be happier with the service, and end results, we receive from Carrie."

FAQs

I’m pretty busy. Will you need a lot of my time?

When I need you, I’ll let you know, otherwise I’m self-sufficient. If I’m writing regular copy for you such as a blog or advertorial, we may need to touch base briefly over the phone or via email to discuss your next topic or area of focus.

I’m not sure where to start. Can you help me?

Absolutely. I’ll suggest ideas, or we can do a deeper dive and I can help you create an entire content calendar.

If I give you something I’ve written, can you edit it, or just make it sound better?

I love working with something a client has written! This is a terrific way to capture your original voice and thoughts. I will work on the flow while checking grammar, filling in gaps, and proofreading.

Can we work together electronically?

Most of our work will indeed be conducted electronically using email, text messages, video calls, Google Docs, and Microsoft Word. I can certainly work together from start to finish digitally, but keep in mind that the more clearer picture I have of you (your personality, mannerisms, environment), the better your content will be!

How do you accept payment?

Unless otherwise discussed, I’ll accept payment prior to starting your project. I’ll invoice you via Quickbooks; you can mail me a check, pay via credit card, or make a bank transfer.

"Where to start about my experience with Carrie... First off, she listened, truly listened to what I was trying to accomplish and the importance of having the content fit my brand and style of communication. Second, she asked questions. Third, she stayed in touch. It gave me confidence in her abilities and I felt as if she were truly part of my team. Last but not least, she DELIVERED! The content reflected my thoughts but with an added emphasis where it was needed."
